Engineering, Planning and Land Development
Canadian Wetlands Inc. (“CWI”) is a team of consultants experienced in residential land development, community master planning, and engineering. Each project is approached with its own unique requirements, attributes and pre-determined needs. Depending on the scope our team of experts in civil, structural, storm water, architecture and planning are called upon. CWI is the lead manager on the Oliver landing project currently in the land servicing and townhouse pre-marketing stage.
David Perehudoff was born in 1961, into a land development family in Santa Rosa, California. His father was one of the pioneers of the modern “Subdivision” (changing the concept of square block housing developments) As a child he spent weekends with his father on the site of various development projects. After attending University of California, Berkeley and University of California, Chico, for Industrial Technology Engineering & Construction (ITEC), he took a job in the industry with his father. His first job was to build “track” homes from scratch. Track homes are dwellings that form part of a real-estate development having a plan and appearance common to some or all of the houses in the development. After working his way up to site superintendent, David went back to college moving to Phoenix, Arizona to refine his computer skills when AutoCAD came to market. While working in Arizona for Sun City West at the same time as attending college he managed several subdivisions using “fast track housing” construction techniques. He helped his company work out the ‘hiccups’ in the process. The end result was a finished home within 30 days, start to finish.
Since then David has gained experience in land development by working in Arizona, BC, and Alberta. David has managed projects that produced over 30 homes per month to luxurious multi -million dollar estates. He spearheaded the planning and servicing of the largest subdivision in Strathmore’s history of over 3000 units. This project in Strathmore, AB (40km east of Calgary) is now called Wildflower.
David has been a Rotary Club member for most of his adult life, serving others charitably, specifically by managing clean and waste water projects in Mexico pro bono. In 2011/ 2012 he met two people that changed his life; his life partner, Leahann Nordin, and Scotty Grubb. Scotty made the introduction to his business partner Thomas Beyer who is the president of the Prestigious Properties Group. A business partnership was formed and David began running the 300+ unit development project in Cold Lake, AB since the fall of 2013. In January of 2016, Thomas and Lynda Beyer, David and Leahann entered into a partnership to buy, develop and build out a multi-family residential housing project, the Forbes Land into Oliver Landing in Oliver, BC.
David is currently running the Oliver Landing Development Corporation. The Oliver Landing project which consists of 130+ attainable townhome units. He is breaking his own records with a re-zoning application from Agricultural to High Density residential approved in less than 60 days, and subdivision PLA (preliminary approval) within days following, due to steadied execution and strong relationships built with the town council, mayor and staff.
David & Leahann now reside in Oliver, and plan to retire in the southern Okanagan. David loves the region and has been quoted as saying “I feel like I am back in high school again… this is what it was like in Sonoma, California in the eighties”.
